The XC8 Downhill event is organized by the South Sask Mountain Bike Club.
The race race runs the day after the XC8 Endurance event. As its own separate event, it is the only serious downhill event in Saskatchewan.
Its all about the rush of traditional downhill racing, on the prairies. Each racer has their individual chance to race down three of Buffalo Pound's fastest trails. Fastest combined time wins. There will be Cash Prizes for Podium (1st, 2nd, 3rd) place finishes.
