This year the XC8 Downhill event is being organized once again by the South Sask Mountain Bike Club.
The sponsors for 2010 are Dutch Cycle and Blocks Sharpening.
The XC8 Downhill Race runs the day after the XC8 Endurance event. As its own separate event, it is the only serious downhill event in Saskatchewan, and attracted 49 for the 2009 event.
Its all about the rush of traditional downhill racing, on the prairies. Each racer has their individual chance to race down three of Buffalo Pound's fastest trails: Jack the Ripper, Heaven, and Roots. Fastest combined time wins. There will be Cash Prizes for Podium (1st, 2nd, 3rd) place finishes.
